What’s happening over the summer?

Alison has let us know:

Classes

Alison’s Wednesday classes:  on 22nd June Nicola is taking the Wednesday classes.

There is no class on 29th June as I have to attend a meeting for work and Nicola is unavailable.

Alison having a class instead on Thursday 30th at 7pm for anyone who wishes to come along. I will mix and match exercises for the different levels.  It will be a good opportunity for the newer members to meet other club members.

Although the puppy and 6 month plus classes are finished now until after the summer Judith and I are continuing with our classes for a bit longer my last classes will be July 20th and Judith will finish on July 21st.

All classes will start back on the week beginning Monday August 29th

Help at the Shows

On Saturday  2nd and Sunday 3rd July ACTS host an Open Obedience Show at Hazlehead Park when competitors from all over Scotland and the north of England come to take part. In September  (10th/11th) we run an Open Agility Show with competitors from far and wide.

The money raised at these shows offsets the cost of running the club throughout the year.

These shows take a lot of organising.  As we are a small club with a very small competitive obedience section we are dependant on our core members to come along and help.

There are jobs for everyone ranging from putting up/taking down rings, tents and the marquee to fetching and carrying teas and coffees to the judges,  car parking supervision, stay stewarding etc.  No one is asked to do anything they are not comfortable with.

If you can help out on either date for a day or part day please add your name to the list on the table.

One of our members runs a Tombola at the obedience show every year to boost funds for the club. All donations of items (new) are gratefully received. A perfect way to clear out all those unwanted toiletries left over from Christmas and the bottles of wine you don’t like etc. Dog items are also welcome. Please bring your donations to class prior to the show if possible. Home bakes for the judges’ teas are also welcome.

Have a lovely summer, regards  Alison

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will be held on 18th April at 8pm.  All members are invited to attend.  Any one having any matters they wish to put on the Agenda,  please inform the Secretary.  Annual Subscriptions will be due at that time.

We hope to hold the AGM at Craibstone, but if not, it will be held at the Rosehill Scout Hut.
